
Suzanne Pleshette, born January 31, 1937, died January 19, 2008 in the USA. She was an American film, television, theatre, as well as voice actor. Pleshette began her acting career in the theatre and was a part of films in the 1950s and later. She then appeared in a number of notable films, including Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (1963), or Spirited Away (192001). She was later seen in several television productions, often as guest actors, and was Emily Hartley on The Bob Newhart Show from 1972 to 1978, earning several Emmy Award nominations for her work. Pleshette, a daughter of Geraldine (nee Kaplan),[1 and Eugene Pleshette, was born on January 31, 1937, in Brooklyn Heights. Her parents were Jewish as were the children of emigrants from Russia and Austria-Hungary.Her mother was an artist and dancer who performed on stage under the name Geraldine Rivers. Her father was stage director at the Paramount Theater, Manhattan, as well as the Paramount Theater, Brooklyn.
