Amy Smart was an American model as well as actress. She was born in California USA, Amy Smart began her modelling career there. The beginning of her acting career came in 1996, when she was a character in the TV film Her Costly Affair. The actress struggled for the role she wanted on Starship Troopers. It was a difficult transition for Amy because she had change from modeling to the acting profession. Models aren't regarded as the best actors, so they usually be given smaller roles that aren't very important. Amy was never discouraged. Her first major role came in The 70s followed by Varsity Blues. After a few years Amy stepped into more leading roles. The film she starred in was the love story Just Friends alongside Ryan Reynolds. Amy found her recognition after more than ten years of struggling. Amy went on to star in major films such as the Crank Series with Jason Statham, and Shameless.
