Anna Paquin

Anna Paquin was born in Winnipeg and raised in Wellington. She began her acting career as Flora McGrath in the romantic drama film The Piano. In response to an audition call and was selected for the part, she was cast as Flora McGrath, the daughter of a mute Scottish piano player who moves from Scotland to New Zealand in mid-19th-century to marry. It was her first role at the age of nine years old and did not have any previous experience as an actor. Following her move in New Zealand, in the United States, she became an adult. Paquin was played as the title child in Franco Zeffirelli's Jane Eyre in 1996. She also played an important part on the screen in Fly Away Home, a movie from that same year. Paquin was a part-time actress in the 1997 TV movie adaptation to Carson McCullers' novel The Member of the Wedding. The actress also played the Princess of Spain in Steven Spielberg's Amistad (2007). She portrayed teens in Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (1998), A Walk on the Moon (1998) and Almost Famous (2000). She also portrayed the groupie Polexia Aphrodisa.
