Dolly-Parton

Dolly Parton escaped the struggles in her early life by using her creative and imaginative imagination. Prior to learning how to read or write, Dolly Parton was creating her own music. The first time she picked up a guitar was when she was 8 and began singing on the Knoxville Tenn radio station at the age of 11. The same year she released her first recording on Gold Band Records a tiny independent label. While she was at school, she already established herself in the local music scene. But her dream was to be able to make music on a bigger size. The day she graduated the high school in 1964. Dumb Blonde (1967) and Something Fishy (1968) were the first two albums to chart from Monument Records. Porter Wagoner had been looking for a female singer to perform on his show syndicated by him from the beginning. Parton took the job in the year 1966. She was signed to RCA Records in 1968, and then the Grand Ole Opry was founded in 1969. The year 1974 was the first that she opted to walk away from Wagoner's show because the success of her own solo records like Joshua Coat, Many Colors, and Jolene was outstripping their joint efforts. Parton composed I Will Always Love You for Wagoner in the aftermath of their breakup. It made it to No. The first time that a song reached No.
